Early Childhood is a time of tremendous growth. We learn about naming and identifying feelings, and how we can react and respond. A large part of our Social-Emotional Education takes place within our classroom. Children learn to collaborate, to work together, to listen to one another’s ideas, and to work as a team. Over the course of the year, we work on creating a classroom community in which the children learn to trust one another, work together, and help each other. We work with the children on conflict resolution, compromising, and listening to one another. We teach the children that it is okay to make mistakes, and to try again. Social skills are weaved into all parts of our day.
